The Kalasatama Metro Stration plays a central role in the development of the area, connecting Kalasatama to the city centre and other parts of Helsinki . New tram lines and bus routes are also planned for the area, further improving accessibility.

Around 120 international flights arrive daily at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport , which is situated just 19 kilometres from the city centre. The journey time from the airport to the city centre is around 25 minutes. In addition to taxis, the route is also served by Finnair's airport bus service and regional bus services.

Helsinki also offers excellent train connections from all parts of Finland . There are also daily train services to Helsinki from St. Petersburg and Moscow . The Central Railway Station is located in the city centre. Daily ferry services to Helsinki are offered from Estonia , Sweden and Germany.
